Anajen Cafe, nestled in the heart of Warley Woods at Pavilion, serves as a quietly reliable spot for locals and visitors alike, especially those wandering the nearby woodland trails. As a cafe, it offers more than just a cup of coffee — it feels like a practical pitstop for families, dog walkers, and anyone wanting to take a break from the outdoors without straying far from nature.

The cafe’s atmosphere is relaxed and functional, with a staff who generally engage warmly with guests, including children. It’s clear the place welcomes a mixed crowd: parents managing young children, dog walkers dropping in after a stroll, and regulars who appreciate the simple pleasures of a solid tea or coffee and a homemade cake. The menu leans toward comfort—affordable all-day breakfast items and a notably wide selection of cakes that often prove hard to pick from, whether enjoyed in or taken on a leisure walk through the woods.

Visitors often stop by on weekends or early mornings, with the cafe’s Sunday opening proving particularly helpful for families needing an accessible spot. Service is efficient, with consistent compliments about the friendly team members who make the experience feel personal. While most of the staff engage warmly, there have been occasional notes about off moments, reminding visitors that, like any local spot, the vibe can subtly shift depending on the day.

Practical considerations stand out here: the cafe accepts cash and card payments (with a card minimum), and recently expanded its menu with milkshakes, although these have received mixed opinions. Seating is casual and the overall setting works well as a comfortable pause in an active day outdoors.

In essence, Anajen Cafe is best suited for those who value straightforward, homey cafe experiences connected directly to the natural surroundings of Warley Woods. Whether coming with family, a furry friend, or just a craving for a decent cup of tea and a slice of cake, it fits neatly into the rhythm of local life as a familiar, approachable spot.

Staff lovely to my grandchildren, but a miserable lady was rude to the children who were laughing putting the money in the charity tub ,the other lady who was with her was chatting to the children after ,so she must have felt awkward about it . Will not stop me from visiting again. I will just keep my distance from certain customers.

A wonderful place to stop by - I usually go with my mom. We usually get served by a wonderful woman called Chloe; a respectful and hardworking girl who can't do enough for us!

We often take our dog for a walk in Warley Woods but went to the cafe for first time today. There's a good selection of food at very reasonable prices, including children's menu. We opted for some take away coffees and were hard pushed to select a single cake from the array of delicious looking homemade options. Cash and card (minimum £5) taken. Also noticed the option for instant coffee which is a nice touch for anyone who doesn't want to pay 'proper' coffee prices.

A great little cafe where the ladies are friendly, serve good food and are speedy in their service. Their cakes are bloody amazing and they recently started milkshakes...... not very good as they taste artificial. But overall a great place to go if you are out for a walk around the woods and want some food or a drink.

First came here early mornings when daughter was a baby to get her to sleep, cafe being open on a Sunday was a life saver. Years later we still enjoy a cracking cup of tea, cake and bacon sandwich together.
